

Thank you for your interest in the 2023 Beer Cheese Throwdown recipe competition. In this years competition we are asking current and prospective food service operators (restaurants, catering, c-stores, business & industry, college & university, and more!) to submit innovative recipes using one of our fully prepared beer cheeses or beer cheese bases.
Follow the details below for a chance to be invited to the recipe finals hosted at the J.T.M. booth at the 2023 National Restaurant Association show in Chicago, IL!
J.T.M.'s Craft Beer Cheese and Beer Cheese Base provide a unique way to bring innovative menu items to your menu combined with the convenience of using a fully-prepared cheese sauce. Our Craft Beer Cheese features three half barrels of real beer in every batch resulting in a creamy and flavorful beer cheese. J.T.M.'s Beer Cheese base provides an opportunity for operators to provide a custom experience by mixing 16 ounces of desired beer with five pounds of beer cheese base featuring real cheddar cheese. No matter what your preference J.T.M. provides you with the ability to provide a desired beer cheese experience that's applicable for every menu.


Submit your Beer Cheese Recipe
We're looking for innovative recipes that feature J.T.M. beer cheese or beer cheese base. Simply submit your beer cheese recipe through the online form not later than February 28, 2023.
- Recipe submission must include the name and item no. of the J.T.M. beer cheese being used in the recipe. (Distributor branded beer cheese and beer cheese base may be used in replacement of J.T.M. branded beer cheese)
- You may only submit one recipe per restaurant/operation
- You must include an image of completed recipe (JPG, PNG accepted)
- Your recipe must include ingredients used, preparation instructions, and meal components.

Voting Contest of Top 10 Beer Cheese Recipes
Our team of J.T.M. Culinary Professionals will determine the Top 10 beer cheese recipes to advance to the next round of online voting. Starting on March 15, 2023, the public can vote once per day for the qualifying entrants' custom beer cheese recipe by going to the website: www.jtmbeercheesethrowdown.com. The voting period will close at 11:59 PM ET on March 31, 2023. Two recipes receiving the most online votes will advance as semi-finalists and receive an all-expense paid trip* to the 2023 National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, IL from May 20-23, 2023.
Voting will be based on the following criteria:
- Crave-ability
- Ease of Preparation
- Visual Appeal
- Creativity
*Trip includes: 3 night hotel stay (one room with double beds), show registration, airfare (up to $1,000), and two meals per day.
*If the winner can not attend the National Restaurant Association Show in person, J.T.M. will work to make accommodations for the winner to join and participate in The Beer Cheese Throwdown virtually. Winners who can not physically attend will not be compensated for the cost of the trip.

Beer Cheese Throwdown and Winner Announced at 2023 NRA
The top two finalists custom Beer Cheese recipes will be featured at the National Restaurant Association Show's J.T.M. booth and voted on by a panel of culinary professionals. Winner will be announced at the J.T.M. booth on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 3:00 PM CT.

The top two finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip* to the 2023 National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, IL where their custom Beer Cheese creations will be featured at the J.T.M. booth, and voted on by a panel of culinary professionals and J.T.M. chefs.

- No purchase is necessary to enter and a purchase will not improve the odds of winning.
- Receipt of the prize is restricted to participation in the 2023 Nation Restaurant Show on behalf of J.T.M. Food Group.
- To be eligible, participants must (1) own and operate a verified establishment that is open and serves food or intends to serve food to customers, (2) be 21 years of age or older, and (3) all eligible entries must use Beer Cheese or Beer Cheese Base produced by J.T.M. Food Group.
- Limit of one free sample case to each verified establishment while supplies last.
- By submitting photographs and recipes to J.T.M. Food Group through social media or otherwise, you grant an irrevocable license to J.T.M. Food Group to use the photographs and recipes in all mediums.
- J.T.M. Food Group reserves the right to cancel or delay the trip for any reason including in the event that the 2023 National Restaurant Association Show is cancelled or delayed.
- J.T.M. reserves the right to change or modify these terms and conditions within its sole discretion.
