Simply stop by J.T.M. Booth #3025 at the BrewExpo, enter the Beer Cheese Throwdown, tell us where to send your free sample case, and you'll be one step closer to claiming the title of Best Beer Cheese in America. People can also enter by going to: www.jtmbeercheesethrowdown.com. Registration will close at 11:59 PM ET on October 1, 2021.

Receive your case of Beer Cheese Base, and create your Signature Beer Cheese

When your sample package arrives, it will include four, 5 pound pouches of J.T.M. Beer Cheese Base, heating and handling instructions, and an outline of next steps including: (1) the brewery/operation developing their own signature beer cheese dip (2) create one additional recipe that utilizes their signature beer cheese (Examples: Beer Cheese Mac, Beer Cheese Soup). (3) Sample your creations with your patrons. (4) Snap some photos and share on social media using our approved hashtag #beercheesethrowdown. (5) Email J.T.M. your custom Beer Cheese recipes, photos, info, and testimonials.

Recipe Submissions and Social Media​

Submit the following: (1) two or more photos of your creations (2) a short description detailing the beer you chose to use in your signature Beer Cheese and why (3) an overview of the recipes you created and sampled.

Post at least two photos on your own social media platform/s using the following hashtag: #beercheesethrowdown. The post should mention both the beer cheese and the throwdown. Posts should be made no later than November 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM ET. Please note, social media posts using the hashtag may appear on jtmbeercheesethrowdown.com and on our social media channels.

All required information and photos need to be sent via email to bnelson@jtmfoodgroup.com no later 11:59 PM ET on December 1, 2021. You will receive confirmation email when we receive and verify your submissions. Please note, your photos, tagged social media posts, and recipe ideas may be featured on jtmbeercheese.com and on our social media channels.

Voting and Customer Interaction

Starting on January 3, 2022, the public can vote once per day for the qualifying entrants' custom Beer Cheese creations by going to the website: www.jtmbeercheesethrowdown.com. The voting period will close at 11:59 PM ET on February 15, 2022. The top two winners will be announced on March 1, 2022. They will move on to the next round which will take place at the 2022 National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, Illinois*.

* If the winner can not attend the National Restaurant Association Show in person, J.T.M. will work to make accommodations for the winner to join and participate in The Beer Cheese Throwdown virtually. Winners who can not physically attend will not be compensated for the cost of the trip.

Prepare for Final Throwdown

The J.T.M. team will collaborate with the finalists on the plans for showcasing their winning beer cheese at the 2022 National Restaurant Association Show. They will also work with the finalists to coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations.

Final Throwdown at the National Restaurant Association Show

The top two finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip* to the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago where their custom Beer Cheese creations will be featured at the J.T.M. booth and voted on by a panel of culinary professionals and J.T.M. Chefs. The winner will be announced at 3:00 PM CT on Sunday, May 22 at the J.T.M. Booth.

*Trip includes: 3 night hotel stay (one room with double beds), show registration, airfare (up to $1,000), and two meals per day.

*If the winner can not attend the National Restaurant Association Show in person, J.T.M. will work to make accommodations for the winner to join and participate in The Beer Cheese Throwdown virtually. Winners who can not physically attend will not be compensated for the cost of the trip.​

Top Two Finalists Prize Package:
